Private Swim Lessons for Adults or Children

Do you need extra help developing a swim skill? Interested in one-on-one instruction? Give us a call to set up private lessons.  Private Lessons correspond with regular swim lesson session dates. Private Lessons are available at Healdsburg Swim Center.  Please contact the Healdsburg Swim Center Office to make arrangements, 431-3617. Fees are $84 per session (8 days of instruction). Participants must be at least five years of age.

Day Care Provider Swim Lessons

Special one-week group lesson packages are available for day care centers and preschools. Lessons are available at the Healdsburg Swim Center from 10 – 11 am Monday thru Thursday. If your organization is interested, please contact the Healdsburg Swim Center Office at 431-3617. The fee is $25 per person.

Group Swim Lesson Levels:

Guppy / Turtle (Parent/Toddler)
Ages: 6 – 36 Months
Infant must be able to hold head up. Parent must attend each class and be in the water with their child.

Duck (Beginning Preschool)
Ages: 3 – 5
Under no exceptions are children under 3 allowed to register for this class.

Alligator (Advanced Preschool)
Ages: 3 – 5
Child must be able to enter and go underwater easily, be able to kick and scoop in the prone position with their eyes in the water for 3 yards, and jump to the instructor from the deck.
 
Otter (Competitive Preschool)
Ages: 3 – 5
Child must be able to swim front crawl for 15 to 20 yards, and demonstrate proficiency in breathing to the side while doing the front crawl.

Seal (Beginning Level)
Ages: 5 – 8 (This is not a continuation from Otter)
This is designed for the older beginner with limited water experience.

Marlin
Ages: 5 – 14
Child must be able to swim front crawl for 15 to 20 yards, and demonstrate proficiency in breathing to the side while swimming the front crawl.

 Dolphin
Ages: 5 – 14
Child must be able to swim 25 yards of front crawl and backstroke without assistance, and must have passed a Marlin class.

Stingray
Ages: 5 – 14
Child must be able to swim 25 yards of front crawl breathing to the side, backstroke and breaststroke and sidestroke and must have passed a Dolphin class.

Shark
Ages: 5 – 14
Child must be able to swim 50 meters of front crawl breathing to the side, 50 meters backstroke, and 50 meters elementary backstroke. Also must be able to swim 25 meters of breast stroke and sidestroke. All strokes must be completed without stopping.

Killer Whale
Ages: 5 – 14
Child must be proficient in techniques of all strokes, and must be able to swim 300 meters using all strokes continuously.
